My name is Alex and I am a Co-Owner of Active Education. I have been working in the sports coaching industry for over six years teaching a wide range of children and guiding their development.
Sport and fitness have always been my passion so being able to teach such an important part of my life to the next generation of athletes is by far the most rewarding thing I could be doing.
My name is Sam and I’m a Co-Owner of Active Education. I have been delivering PE and extra-curricular activities to primary schools and youth groups across Norfolk since 2016.
Sport has always been a huge passion of mine, so helping children develop their skills in a variety of sports is something I love to do. Having seen the positive impact sport has had on my life, I felt the need to pursue a career whereby I can help younger children mould their lifestyle around remaining healthy and active on a sustainable basis, hence the creation of Active Education.
My name is Jim Clarke, I am 44 and live in the beautiful village of Old Hunstanton. I have been a senior coach for Active Education since joining in 2020. I have been coaching for over 20 years. I got into coaching when I became chairman of my hometown club Spalding Town Cricket Club and we formed a junior cricket section.
I have worked for many years full-time in sports and have won some prestigious awards as well. ECB Cricket Coach of the Year for the East Midlands in 2014, 2nd in the ECB National Coach of the Year awards of the same year. ECB Coach of the Year for Middlesex in 2017 and Coach of the Year for London in the same year.
My name is Paris and I’m the “healthy me” program coordinator at Active Education. I have been active my whole life and have been helping others via the means of sport and exercise for over 7 years.
Exercise and nutrition have had such a positive impact on my own life, which makes me very passionate about educating children at a young age about the importance of a healthy, active lifestyle, which will help benefit them for the rest of their lives.
My name is Amie Hutchison, I live in Fakenham. I play Softball for the Great Britain Women’s National team, Football for Fakenham Town Ladies FC, and used to play Cricket for Norfolk Ladies. I Studied at Fakenham Academy, Easton College, and University in America. I was offered a scholarship to play softball in America where I spent 2 years In Florida and 2 years in South Carolina.
It was the best experience of my life and never regretted one minute of it. I love coaching, being active, and giving back to the community.
Hello, I'm Aaron and I'm a lead holiday camp coach for Active Education.
I'm a very sporty person, with football being my main sport! I play for Wells Town and support the mighty Norwich City.
I have been coaching a wide range of sports for over 7 years now. I have a degree in sports science and a passion for delivering sport to the younger generation.
I attained qualified teacher status, so I have a great knowledge and experience in teaching primary school children.
My name is Erin Macleod, I am 22 and live in Fakenham. I work within Active Education part time during half terms and holidays. Outside of coaching, I am a full time Physical Education and Science teacher at North Walsham High School. I also teach at North Walsham Junior 2 afternoons a week. I absolutely love working in the sports and education industry and is something I have always dreamed of.
I achieved a first class honours BSc Sport, Physical Education and Development at University of East London and went on to complete my PGCE (M) at the University of East Anglia and I am now looking to complete my master's in physical education.
I still take part in sports myself and play for North Elmham netball team. I also take part in boxing once a week!
I want to inspire the next generation and give them a positive start in sport.
